Community Involvement

You Can Sit With Me

It is with great pleasure that our team announces our partnership with Sophie Sparks, the founder of the “You Can Sit With Me” program, to pilot this new workplace initiative. Following our trial, this initiative will be rolled out across the entire Ray White network. From today Monday the May 20th, our two offices; Ray White Elizabeth Bay and Ray White Woollahra, will serve as safe houses for local children during business hours.

Whether a child has gotten lost on their way home, got off the bus or train at the wrong station, has a phone with no battery, or simply feels unsafe and can’t contact their parents or carers, our reception team are well-equipped and prepared to welcome any child who sees the sticker and identifies our office as a safe space to seek help, feel settled, and contact their appropriate carer or guardian.

The Ray White Safe space sticker signifies to our local communities, school children, parents, and the schools themselves (including Woollahra Public, Plunkett Street, and Glenmore Road) that our Ray White offices will serve as a safe place for school children to come if they are in need.

If you have school-aged children in your home and you live nearby either our Elizabeth Bay | Potts Point or our Paddington | Woollahra office, please let your children know not only where we are, but also the sticker to look for, and that if they do get lost, stuck, or feel unsafe on their way to or from school, our team is available to help.

Easts Rugby

Easts Rugby has been an integral part of the local community since 1900. Our very own Clay Brodie was a member of the team and represented Australia in Hong Kong. In recent years the Easts Rugby team have enjoyed some renewed success both on and off the field. The Easts Rugby committee provides an ideal environment for young people to transition to adulthood with a strong moral compass and sense of belonging.

Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA)

We are so proud to be the newest sponsor of the Eastern Suburbs Football Association. They are the delegated authority governing football in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. ESFA aims to develop football for the entire community; irrespective of age, colour, gender and disability. We support the association and always look forward to weekly updates on games that are played.

Woollahra Public School

Woollahra Public School is a large primary school that serves the communities of Woollahra, Edgecliff, Paddington and Bondi Junction. We have been a sponsor of the school for many years, building a strong and positive relationship. Our continuous support goes not only towards the education of the children but as well as the teachers and staff.

A Little Ray of Giving

Our office successfully participates in the Ray White ‘A Little Ray of Giving’ initiative and have partnered up with Sydney’s Children Hospital to help sick children who may need a little extra light in their festive season.

Sydney’s Children Hospital is a leading charity in Australia providing children in need with gifts on Christmas.

Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012. Last year nearly 300 offices across Australia and New  Zealand helped raise 15,000 gifts for disadvantaged families this Christmas.

Holdsworth Community

Ray White is proud to partner with Holdsworth Community and donates $100 for every property sold through our Woollahra office.  Holdsworth Community provides community-based services and support for children and adults living with intellectual disabilities; families with young children; older people who may be frail, ill, lacking mobility or experiencing social isolation; and those who are carers for any of the groups above. Their mission is to deliver person-centered solutions that make a qualitative improvement in people’s lives. Their vision is to shift power to individuals so they are better equipped to exercise choice and control in their lives and they work to build the resilience of the community members to prepare them to respond and adapt to the ongoing changes in their lives.

Queen Street & West Woollahra Association

We are invested in preserving the Woollahra area and ensuring the architectural heritage is maintained. We have partnered with The Queen Street and West Woollahra Association (QSWWA) this is a residents’ and traders’ action group, formed to protect the interest of local residents and business people. It acts as a forum through which they can raise their voices effectively on planning and local government matters and influence the decisions of public authorities.
